A robotic total station puts a full survey crew's output in the hands of one operator. The instrument automatically locks onto the prism and follows it around site, while the surveyor controls everything from the pole using a field controller. With no need for a second person at the instrument, setting out and measurement become quicker, labour costs fall and accuracy stays consistent from the first point to the last.
