Re-usable Full Face Masks

A re-usable full face mask covers the whole face, sealing above the eyes and under the chin, so it protects the eyes as well as the airways. It is the step up from a half mask, chosen where the protection factor needs to be higher, or where the hazard, such as certain gases, vapours or splashes, could irritate or damage the eyes as well as the lungs.

All pur full face masks are re-usable and take replaceable filters, so running costs stay low compared with disposables, and all suit long shifts where comfort and clear vision both matter.

Like any tight fitting mask, a full face mask requires face fit testing for each wearer under COSHH, and it is worth remembering that facial hair prevents an effective seal. Bearded wearers, or anyone who fails a fit test, will generally need a loose fitting powered respirator instead.
