Calibration & Bump Testing

Calibration and bump testing are the two checks that keep a gas detector trustworthy. A bump test is a quick daily check that exposes the sensor to a known gas to confirm it responds and the alarm triggers, without adjusting the reading itself. Calibration goes further, adjusting the instrument against a certified gas concentration to correct any drift in accuracy, and should be carried out periodically as set out by the manufacturer or your safety procedures. 

At Sunbelt Sales we stock automated test systems, which uses a colour touch screen to calibrate and bump test up to ten instruments at once, starting automatically without the need to press a single button. We also stock calibration testing gas in a 58 litre cylinder, a certified test gas used to carry out accurate bump tests and calibrations across a range of detector models.
