Quantitative Face Fit Testing Equipment

Quantitative face fit testing measures how well a tight fitting mask seals to an individual's face using an instrument, typically a TSI PortaCount, which counts particles inside and outside the mask to produce a numeric fit factor. Unlike qualitative testing, which relies on the wearer detecting a taste or smell, quantitative testing gives an objective pass or fail score and can test masks fitted with a speech diaphragm or exhalation valve, which qualitative methods cannot.
