Pix4D Crane Camera Solution

Automatically and remotely create 2D/3D models of construction sites for visualisation, BIM verification and analysis using a crane mounted camera.

The Crane Camera is mounted on the tower crane jib, at the end or along the jib, to ensure that it doesn’t prevent trolley movements.

Crane camera captures images automatically during crane operation, camera sensors detect the crane’s movement to activate and complete data collection.

Images are wirelessly transmitted to the Pix4D Cloud for processing. 2D and 3D deliverables are accessible on the cloud-based platform to be analysed and shared. Results can then be exported to BIM software to further analyse and verify the as-built.

As data capture and processing are done automatically, costs and inconveniences are minimal, making frequent data collection possible. Taking images with the crane camera does not interfere with site work.
