Coated abrasives are a flexible option for removing rough surfaces and are fine enough to produce a smooth surface finish where required.

A wide range of sanding products are available to suit a variety of applications including wood, steel and white abrasives.

A coated abrasive comprises 3 major components; abrasive grit specific to the application, backing material to hold the abrasive and a bonding agent to glue the grit to the backing. The grit size is determined by the number of holes per square inch; the smaller the number, the coarser the cut.

The P-36887 is a 40 grit cloth backed abrasive belt, designed for use with very powerful Belt Sanders and equipped with hard wearing aluminium oxide grit for increased durability and a longer service life.

The P-36887 is suitable for sanding wood and regular steel, ideal for floor sanding. The P-36887 is 610mm overall length and 100mm wide, suitable for use with Makita 9401, 9403, 9404 and 9924DB Belt Sanders and compatible with Ryobi and Hitachi. Pack quantity 5.
